DINING AT RIO MAGNOLIA

Dining is a wonderful experience at Magnolia House with “elegant” relaxed, fine dining. Three exquisite meals are provided daily. We offer a variety of wines and a full bar service. Since we are a small establishment, we are able to design our daily set menus with the freshest meats, fish and produce. Before you arrive, we inquire about food allergies and general tastes in food, so that our menus will meet all of your expectations! Rio Magnolia can accommodate vegetarian, vegan meals and gluten, lactose or nut free food.

Breakfast

Start with... Fresh Fruit, Yoghurt and Granola, Juice Followed by... Black Beans and Rice (Pinto), Scrambled Eggs, Fried Plantain and Cheese, Tortillas (Costa Rican Typico) or a daily special such as Tortillas Spread with Refried Beans, and Topped with Fried Eggs, Salsa and Cheese (Huevos Rancheros) or Bacon and Eggs, or Banana Pancakes served with ham; Rio Magnolia grown coffee and Assorted Tea.

Our lunch menu is on the lighter side at the request of our guests! We offer sandwiches, quesadillas, soup, and salads and pasta. (Vegetarian and Vegan Options)

Guacamole and Ceviche with Taco Chips ; Papaya Salad with Peanut Dressing; Rio Bread; Corvina or Red Snapper Filet with Wine Cream Sauce, Yucca Torte; Roasted Carmelized Carrots; Butter Pecan Tarte and Vanilla Ice Cream.

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus with Pitas, Strawberry Mango Salad with Feta tossed in a Sweet Balsamic Vinaigrette; Rio Herb Bread; Linguine Rose with Shrimp or Sauteed Baby Vegetables; Chocolate Delirium Torte.

Shrimp Salsa; Curried Ayote Soup (Typical Costa Rican Squash) with Coconut Milk; Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Brandy Peppercorn Cream, Roasted Potatoes and Grilled Peppers, Onions and Plantain; Cheesecake with Fresh Blackberry Coulis 


Palm Heart Dip with crackers and vegetables; Sopa Negra; Chicken Kebobs Grilled on Lemongrass Skewers served with Spicy Malaysian Peanut Sauce,  Mango Coconut Rice Salad; Banana Flambe with Caramel Ice Cream.


Greek Dip with Pitas; Mediterannean Salad with Red Wine Vinaigrette, Grilled Spiced Pork Tenderloin with Blackberry (Mora) Sauce, Scalloped Potatoes, Sauteed Broccoli, Tropical Carrot Cake and Ice Cream.
